Dr. Hassan Zohair Hassan (H.Z. Hassan) is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering in the College of Engineering at Al Faisal University. He has obtained his Ph.D. degree in the field of "Energy and Environment" from the Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Schulich School of Engineering, University of Calgary, Canada. 2012. Dr. H.Z. Hassan has more than 14 years of teaching and research experience and is currently teaching courses in Thermal Fluids Engineering, HVAC, Introduction to Turbomachinery, Energy Conversion Systems, Material science and engineering, and Mechanics of Materials. His research work is focusing on Solar-Thermal-Power generation; Adsorption and Absorption Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning; Desalination Technology; and Wind Energy Conversion. Currently, Dr. Hassan has two ongoing research projects with a total fund of 1.6 million Saudi Riyals. He is also serving as Reviewer and Editorial Board Member in many international journals.
Dr. Abdel Naser Daoud is a Lecturer in the Mechanical Engineering Department in the College of Engineering, Alfaisal University, Saudi Arabia. He teaches courses in Mechanical Engineering. He currently teaches courses namely, Materials Science and Engineering, Applied Mechanics: Statics and Dynamics I & II, Machine Design, Manufacturing and Workshop Training, Mechanics of Materials II and Advanced Manufacturing Processes. He has obtained his Ph.D. in micro injection molding for micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS), Teesside University, UK. He has good practical experience in manufacturing, CNC machining, computer aided design / computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), mold making and plastic industry.
Eng. Faisal Samad Lodi
Faisal Samad Lodi is a Lecturer in the Department of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering in the College of Engineering, Alfaisal University, Saudi Arabia. He teaches courses in Industrial and Mechanical Engineering. He currently teaches courses namely, Machine Design, Introduction to CAD, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing and Workshop Training, Production and Service Systems analysis and Quality Engineering. He has a Master's degree by research in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, from the University of Melbourne, Australia. His Master's Thesis is in the area of automotive engine development (Ford in-line, 6 cylinder, 4 stroke, gasoline engine), a research conducted for Ford Motor Company, Australia in the University of Melbourne. He has primarily worked in the field of Research and Development in the automotive industry in Australia, including ACART (Joint Research Facility run by Ford Motor Company, Australia and University of Melbourne, Australia), gaining experience in the industry as well as in academics. His main research interest is in the areas of automotive engine development, fuel consumption and emissions reduction, liquid - metal heat transfer, analytical and conduction heat transfer and design of heat exchangers. He is a certified Internal Auditor TS16949-2009 from EQIS Australia.

Prof. Mohamad graduated with B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Baghdad University, College of Engineering with honor, Ph.D. from School of Mechanical Engineering, Purdue University, W. Lafayette, Indiana, USA. Post Doc from the same school. In 1980, Dr. Mohamad was appointed as a Lecturer, Mosul University, Iraq. For period of 1993-1999 he was Prof. in Eastern Mediterranean University, Cyprus. Since 2000 he is Prof. of thermofluid in Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, University of Calgary, Canada. From 2010 to 2012 was on sabbatical leave from Univ. of Calgary, he was Acting Dean of Engineering and Prof. of Mechanical Engineering in Alfaisal Univ.
Dr. Mohamad has been invited by many institutes around the world (France, Germany, China, USA, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Portugal, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey, Indonesia, and Ecuador) as a keynote speaker, Invited Professor and lecturer. He has been organized and chaired/co-chaired a few successful conferences in many countries on transport in porous media and computational fluid dynamic. The recent one will be in May 2016, Krakow, Poland. Dr. Mohamad is one of the highly cited researches (Google scholar h-factor is 38, Scopus h-factor 29).
Dr. Mohamad elected Fellow Member of American Society of Mechanical Engineer (ASME).
Scientific council member of International Centre for Heat and Mass Transfer
He has authored and co-authored more than 230 papers and graduated more than 40 Ph.D. and M.Sc. students. He reviewed many international Ph.D. and MSc theses from different universities. Dr. Mohamad is permanent reviewer for most thermal science and engineering journals, over 60 journal papers per year.
He has been awarded Research Excellence and Graduate Teaching Excellence awards from University of Calgary, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, Canada.
