Alfaisal’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) center is a center of excellence for AI research, teaching, theory, and practice. We host diverse research groups conducting pioneering research in all areas of AI including: Robotics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Vision and Learning, Healthcare, AI Policy and IP, and Generative AI in digital heritage and new media. Our faculty conduct world class research and are recognized for developing partnerships with industry and the business community, and our spin-offs produce emerging technologies in the scope of MedTech and the Arts.

The AI Center hosts the AI Seminar Series, which explores ways AI can benefit society, our environment, and the economy. In hybrid talks, leaders from academia, industry, and NGOs, who are at the forefront of using AI for social good, showcase AI applications that are forging positive changes in healthcare, the environment, education, technology, government and more. Our seminar series continues to cover a broad set of topics related to AI, machine learning (ML), and statistics. The talks range in scope from applications of AI/ML to tackle hard problems in science and engineering, to ML theory and novel ML techniques in high-performance computing. We aim to bring together AI/ML researchers and domain experts to discuss exciting topics at the intersection of AI/ML and science/engineering.
